Connect your external calendar

A connected calendar protects the time you have already promised elsewhere. Once memore can see when you are busy, students booking through your booking link are only ever offered times that are genuinely free, and the classes you book in memore appear beside everything else in the calendar you already live in.

Before you connect

Choose the calendar that already contains your personal commitments. memore only needs to know whether a time is busy — links remain clearly underlined, appointments stay yours, and nothing is copied anywhere.

Connect a calendar

There are two ways to connect, and they behave differently:

1. Choose a provider.
   • Google Calendar connects two-way over your Google account.
   • Apple or Outlook connect via a read-only subscription link.
2. Open Settings, then Calendar sync.
3. Follow the steps for your provider and approve the permissions.

With Google, in-app changes write back to the same Google event — a reschedule moves it, a cancellation removes it. A subscription link is one-way by nature: memore reads it on a schedule, and your in-app lessons reach the other calendar through the live feed memore publishes for you.

What memore does with what it reads

An event with a student's name or email in it can become a real lesson in memore; anything else becomes protected busy time.

When a name matches two students

memore asks instead of guessing — the class waits in a "Confirm from calendar" banner until you pick who it belongs to, and dismissing it keeps the event as plain busy time.

"Busy" is enough information to protect a time slot.

Subscription feeds describe busy time in plain busy/free terms. If you ever inspect one, the transparency field is what memore reads:

Once connected, give it a minute: the first sync pulls your recent and upcoming events, and after that memore keeps itself up to date. If something looks off, fix a calendar conflict walks through the usual causes.
