Fix a calendar conflict

UPDATED AUG 11 · 1 MIN READ

Resolve overlaps between memore and an external calendar, refresh a stale connection, and stop double-bookings recurring.

Most calendar conflicts come down to one of four causes. Work through them in order — the first two fix nearly everything.

A slot looks free that should be busy

  1. Check the event in your external calendar is timed and not marked "free". All-day events and free-transparency events do not block time, by design.
  2. Give the sync a minute. Google changes arrive quickly; subscription feeds (Apple, Outlook) refresh on a schedule, so a brand-new event can lag behind.
  3. Confirm the event lives in the calendar you actually connected — a second work calendar on the same account is not read unless you connect it.

A class landed on top of an external event

If the external event was created after the class was booked, neither calendar did anything wrong — two humans picked the same hour. Reschedule the class from its lesson page; with Google connected, the Google event moves with it.

An imported class shows the wrong student

A calendar event that names one of your students becomes a real lesson. When a name matches more than one student, memore parks the event in the calendar's Confirm from calendar banner instead of guessing. Pick the right student there — or dismiss it, and the event stays as plain busy time for good.

The connection itself is stale

  • Google: open Settings, then Calendar sync, and reconnect your account. This refreshes the authorisation memore holds.
  • Subscription link: paste a fresh link from your provider. Old imported classes keep working; a class you deleted in memore stays deleted even if the feed still carries it.
