Attach a material to a lesson

A lesson is built from blocks — notes, readings, exercises, homework, glossaries — and a Library material becomes one of those blocks when you import it.

Import into the lesson

1. Open the class's notes page.
2. Choose Add block, then Import material (it leads the menu).
3. Browse or search your Library and pick the material.

The material appears as an ordinary reading block, in place, with its exercises doable right there.

Copies, not links

Importing takes a private copy for that lesson. Editing the copy — trimming it for one student, highlighting, adding a note — never touches the Library template or any other class using it.

The same is true in reverse: fixing the template later does not silently rewrite delivered lessons. Each lesson names the template its copy came from and offers Update to latest version when you genuinely want the newer text.

Exercises and progress

Exercises answered in an attached copy record to the student like any other practice: their mistakes feed the spaced-repetition review queue, so a missed question resurfaces later even if the material itself is long gone.
